Mitchell Andrew Goodman

Profil: Hello, my name is Mitch Goodman and I am New Yorker. The first third of my life in New York and other American cities centered on fine arts; I majored in sculpture in high school, after which I began painting large abstractions. Along the way, I also picked up a Master’s Degree in painting. After becoming fascinated with Japanese culture, I went to Japan, where I spent the next thirty years teaching English, mostly at the university level. During this period, I received a Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). The third part of my life is here in Konstanz, where I teach several vhs B1-B2 English speaking communication courses. My basic approach to teaching is student-centered. This means students are free to express themselves and to determine much of the course content. The classes are casual and fun, with a bit of teacher guidance regarding vocabulary and grammar.
