Nimrod Rosler will discuss the perspectives for peacemaking in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on survey data gathered in the Peace Index and Palestinian-Israeli Pulse among representative samples of both nations. Socio-psychological factors affecting conflict-related attitudes will be presented, as well as an innovative psychological intervention aiming at creating openness for peace.


Nimrod Rosler is a Senior Lecturer and the academic head of the International MA Program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, Tel Aviv University. He co-leads the Peace Index which regularly examines Israeli public opinion on issues of peace and conflict since 1994. His studies deal with psychological and social aspects of political conflicts and their resolution, such as territorial ownership, gender, emotions and leadership, as well as developing innovative psychological interventions to promote peace. He published his work in books and journals, such as Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Cambridge Review of International Affairs and Political Psychology.
